Improving Access to PRP Laser Treatment May Lower the Risk of Diabetic Vitrectomy

For patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy, not receiving panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) laser treatment appears to be a primary risk factor for ultimately requiring pars plana vitrectomy.
