Alice Y Zhang, MD
Dr. Alice Y Zhang is a board-certified ophthalmologist. She specializes in medical disorders of the retina as well as vitreoretinal surgery.
Dr. Zhang graduated cum laude with Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with concentration in computational biology from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, before training at a 2-year fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. She has published multiple peer-reviewed papers, presented at multiple national conferences, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Dr. Zhang specializes in diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, vein occlusions, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, lens dislocations, and performs laser and surgery in addition to medical management.
