This US retrospective cohort study evaluated the relationship between the severity of diabetic retinopathy (DR) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and the risk of cerebrovascular accident (CVA), myocardial infarction (MI), congestive heart failure (CHF), and all-cause mortality.
