Cataract Surgery May Provide Long-Term Protective Cognitive Benefits

Pooled study data, involving more than 558,000 older participants, indicate that those who underwent cataract surgery appeared to have a lower risk of developing cognitive decline than those with unoperated cataracts and a similar risk to those without cataracts.
