Saratoga Ophthalmology in Malta, NY, seeks an Executive Director (Medical Services Manager) to plan, direct, and coordinate medical services in ophthalmologist offices.
- Develop, implement and monitor business operations plans to improve efficiency and quality in delivering healthcare services;
- Develop departmental goals and objectives and implement a budget to achieve organizational objectives;
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members;
- Develop and maintain appropriate internal communication pathways for clinical and nonclinical staff;
- Establish and monitor corporate legal structures;
- Design and implement a quality management system to improve healthcare delivery and ensure patient safety;
- Ensure that the facility is up to date on and compliant with laws and regulations; and
- Oversee systems for purchases of materials and equipment.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field with two years of administrative experience in medical/pharmaceutical office to include:
- Billing and account receivable;
- Medical staff management/scheduling;
- Use of medical terminology and healthcare office management; and
- HIPPA and OSHA compliance.
